Community Room Renovation Update:
The community room renovation project Is underway.
We hope to open the doors of a fully renovated facility by this summer.
Façade Repairs:
We are gearing up to start the tuckpointing of twenty buildings throughout the Parkfairfax community. The tuckpointing process finishes or repairs mortar joints between bricks or stones with a narrow ridge of lime putty or fine lime mortar. It provides a facelift to the exterior of a building, but its purpose is more than aesthetic; it also helps maintain or strengthen the integrity of a structure by helping to seal out moisture.
This project will start at the beginning of the Spring, weather permitting, and notifications, including more details, will be sent out at least a week in advance before work begins.
Building 716 Foundation repairs:
The foundation repairs project for building 716 is also getting close to starting. The Board will select one of the three bids received after our Board meeting on February 15, where they will have the opportunity to discuss details or concerns with Walker Engineering, who will be present.
