The Landscape Committee is excited to launch a week of fun, food and plants with Gardens in the Park! We have expanded the former Azalea Day to a week long program kicking off after the Parkfairfax Garden tour on April 29th and culminating on May 6th. (Located in the Valley Drive Parking Lot) The May 6th event will include several local nurseries to purchase plants, Restaurants such as Cheesetique and businesses like Petvalu. Mayor Silberberg will kick off the opening comments at 9am and end at noon with our grand prize drawings that will include Dinner and Tickets for two, to the Signature Theater, compliments of The Village at Shirlington and a $1,000 Gift Certificate from Campbell and Ferrara.

The expanded schedule of events will include mid-week day and evening educational classes on gardening. A few examples of the educational classes during the week and weekend will include edible gardens, how to clean and maintain your tools and kid friendly planting classes.  Some of our partners such as Petvalu will be offering FREE dog wash coupons and Cheesetique will have a To-Go menu for purchase. The final schedule of events will be posted on the Official Parkfairfax Facebook page and website.
